Lillian Yinka Nwafor is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of nursing experience across acute care, mental health, and community health settings. She is dedicated to delivering patient-centered, compassionate care and is known for her ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Ms. Nwafor earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington and an Associate Degree in Nursing from West Coast University.
She is licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and registered nurse in California and is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She also holds certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).

Ms. Nwafor currently serves as a Registered Nurse and Relief Charge Nurse at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Long Beach, where she cares for patients with a wide range of medical and behavioral health conditions, including schizophrenia, PTSD, substance use disorders, and dementia. She has extensive experience providing comprehensive patient care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and supporting positive patient outcomes. Previously, she worked as a Charge Nurse in a medical-surgical and telemetry unit, where she successfully led patient care initiatives and mentored new nurses.
