Rivy O․ Oseni is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience providing comprehensive, patient-centered care across a wide range of healthcare settings. She is dedicated to delivering evidence-based mental health services to diverse populations through both in-person and telepsychiatry models.
Rivy earned her post-master’s certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from California State University, Long Beach. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the same institution, providing her with a strong academic and clinical foundation.
Her clinical experience spans inpatient, outpatient, and community-based mental health care. She currently provides psychiatric services in both hospital and outpatient settings, performing comprehensive evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and medication management while addressing patients’ biopsychosocial needs. She collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care and effective discharge planning.
Rivy has extensive experience working with patients in community settings, including conducting home visits, supporting individuals with chronic mental health conditions, and helping patients maintain independence in the least restrictive environment. Her work includes crisis assessment, monitoring treatment adherence, and educating patients on conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, and medical comorbidities.
In addition to her psychiatric expertise, Rivy has a strong background in medical-surgical, telemetry, and intensive care nursing, allowing her to provide holistic care that addresses both mental and physical health needs. She is also experienced in case management, patient advocacy, and coordinating access to social and community resources.
Fluent in English and Yoruba, with additional proficiency in French and conversational Spanish, Rivy is able to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
