Dr. Kazuo Quan Omi is a board certified psychiatrist with advanced academic and clinical training from the University of California, Riverside and Washington University in St. Louis, one of the nation’s leading medical research institutions. He provides thoughtful, evidence based psychiatric care with a strong foundation in neuroscience, translational research, and whole person mental health.

Dr. Omi completed his psychiatry residency at UC Riverside, where he trained extensively in both inpatient and outpatient settings and later served as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Neuroscience. In this role, he provided direct patient care while supervising residents and medical students and contributing to medical education and departmental collaboration.

Before entering clinical practice, Dr. Omi earned dual graduate degrees — an M.D. and an M.A. in Medicine — from Washington University in St. Louis, along with an additional M.A. in Immunology and Pathology. His research background includes work in neuroimmunology, autoimmune disease models, and DNA repair mechanisms, with co authorship on a peer reviewed publication in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Omi’s clinical interests include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, neuroimmune conditions, and complex psychiatric presentations. He is committed to providing compassionate, collaborative care that integrates scientific rigor with a patient centered approach.
