Brain Health Training Program

The Brain Health Training Program prepares emerging behavioral health professionals for ethical, competent, and real-world clinical practice across diverse populations and settings. Grounded in strong supervision and traditional training values, our program also reflects the realities of modern care delivery, including high clinical volume, telehealth services, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

We currently offer a graduate-level practicum program for students enrolled in accredited psychology, social work, or counseling programs. Trainees gain hands-on experience providing care to a diverse client population spanning children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric clients, with presentations ranging from routine outpatient concerns to complex and high-acuity clinical needs. We currently partner with University of the Pacific, National University, Alliant International University, and Azusa Pacific University, however, we welcome students from other graduate programs and are available to discuss partnerships opportunities.

Clinical services are delivered through a robust virtual platform as well as in-person care, allowing trainees to develop competence in contemporary telebehavioral health while maintaining strong foundational clinical skills. Students have the option to see clients virtually or in one of our clinics. The program’s high patient volume supports meaningful clinical exposure, continuity of care, and accelerated skill development.

Brain Health is also actively developing a predoctoral internship and postdoctoral residency pathway, designed to provide advanced clinical training and preparation for independent practice.

Our commitment is simple: thoughtful training, strong supervision, and meaningful clinical experience across the full lifespan.
