Margaret “Meg” McIlroy is a highly experienced and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of nursing experience across a wide range of clinical settings. She is dedicated to delivering patient-centered, evidence-based mental health care while fostering strong, supportive relationships with her patients and their families.
Meg earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of California, Los Angeles, and later completed advanced training as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Azusa Pacific University. She is also pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice, further strengthening her clinical and leadership expertise.
Her diverse clinical background includes work in community mental health, correctional healthcare, and hospital-based care. She currently serves with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, where she provides field-based counseling and support for mothers and children, focusing on mental health, parenting, and strengthening family relationships.
In addition to her psychiatric expertise, Meg brings extensive leadership experience, having served in director-level roles managing large clinical teams and healthcare programs. Her areas of expertise include psychiatric evaluation, medication management, behavioral health counseling, and patient education, with a strong emphasis on holistic and family-centered care.
