Dr Matthew Carpinello is a board-certified psychiatrist with extensive experience in general psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, and consultation-liaison medicine. He is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based mental health care tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
Dr. Carpinello earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine and completed his psychiatry residency training at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. His background in both family medicine and psychiatry provides him with a comprehensive understanding of the connection between physical and mental health.
He currently practices as an attending psychiatrist providing telepsychiatry services nationwide, where he offers expert consultation for complex psychiatric cases, including medically complicated patients and those requiring emergency or addiction-related care.
Dr. Carpinello brings extensive leadership experience from his military service, where he served as Department Head of multiple mental health and substance abuse programs. He has expertise in managing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, improving clinical quality, and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective care.
His clinical interests include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, addiction psychiatry, and consultation-liaison psychiatry.
