Dr. Khai Nguyen is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist with extensive experience providing comprehensive mental health care across a variety of clinical settings. His background includes expertise in emergency psychiatry, inpatient care, outpatient services, forensic psychiatry, and telepsychiatry.
Dr. Nguyen earned his medical degree from the University of California, Davis School of Medicine and completed his psychiatry residency at the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine. He further specialized through a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at UC Riverside, where he also served as Chief Fellow.
He is board certified in both general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Nguyen is experienced in treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions in children, adolescents, and adults, utilizing evidence-based approaches tailored to each patient’s needs.
Dr. Nguyen has worked in diverse clinical environments, including state hospitals, health systems, and telehealth services. His work involves conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, effective care.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Nguyen has been recognized for his contributions to medical education, receiving the UC Riverside Psychiatry Residency Teacher of the Year Award. He is also an active member of professional organizations, including the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
