John Esplana is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. He is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered treatment and supporting patients through every stage of their mental health journey.

John earned his Master of Science in Nursing from West Coast University, where he was recognized on the Dean’s Honor List. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the same institution and brings a strong academic foundation to his clinical practice.

He has extensive experience working in psychiatric emergency and inpatient settings, including at Olive View UCLA Medical Center and Glendale Memorial Hospital. His background includes caring for patients with a wide range of conditions such as depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety, autism, and substance use disorders. He is skilled in stabilizing acute psychiatric conditions and managing crisis situations in fast-paced clinical environments.

John’s clinical expertise includes conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, developing differential diagnoses, and creating individualized treatment plans. He is experienced in medication management and utilizes therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and supportive counseling to support patient recovery.
