Vashaun O. Williams, MD is a board-certified Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist offering medication management services to children, adolescents and young adults. He treats a full list of psychiatric conditions with a specialized focus in child and adolescent conditions, ADHD, behavioral problems, depression, anxiety, psychopharmacology and other conditions.
Dr. Williams received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2002 from Morehouse School of Medicine. He completed both his residency in general psychiatry and his fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Palmetto Health Alliance / University of South Carolina. During his 20 years of practice, Dr. Williams has been a leading mental health provider for a variety of agencies throughout the US. He has specialized in telehealth services for more than 10 years to help address shortages and access challenges to specialized mental health care. Dr. Williams is licensed in several states including California, Texas, Florida, Virginia and others.
Dr. Williams has additionally provided expertise in a variety of settings including lecture series, universities, radio and various panels.
Dr. Williams’ philosophy of care is to provide nonjudgmental, honest and supportive medical expertise, helping individuals reach their maximum potential biologically, psychologically and socially. In his approach to care for patients, he believes that “every person’s reality is a function of their own life experiences” so he is very sensitive to each person’s unique journey as they seek help.
