Dr. Manuel Mota-Castillo graduated from the Autonoma University of Santo Domingo in Dominican Republic and did a Straight Internship in Pediatrics in Puerto Rico. His psychiatric training was in Boston, NYC and Phoenix.

He has published four books about improving diagnostic accuracy and medication prescription and has published dozens of articles on several related topics.

Many of his patients praise his ability to explain complex psychological issues and pharmacological questions, something that he attributes to his incursion into the broadcasting business where he became an anchorman in his native Dominican Republic, before entering medical school.

In the psychiatric field, after holding teaching positions at several medical schools, he escalated to the position of Chair of Psychiatric and Director of Psychiatric Training at the Burrell College of Medicine in New Mexico.

During his free time Dr. Manuel Mota-Castillo does gardening and grows tropical fruit plants. Also recording YouTube videos and writing articles for Hispanic newspapers and journals.

Dr. Manuel Mota-Castillo said that he joined Brain Health USA because of its solid reputation and to have the opportunity to practice psychiatry in California, Virginia, Georgia, Puerto and Florida, where he resides.
